Our Past Projects

Burkina Faso

1. Internally Displaced People Project

Caritas Revolution provided food donations to displaced people in the crisis-torn regions of Kamboinsse, Boassa, and Zongo. The project provides cans of oil, 25kg bags of rice, and boxes of soap to internally displaced people fleeing violence in the district of Tampouy. We provided essential supplies to 22 households. Among these, some had fled from Djibo due to terrorist threats, while others in Ouagadougou were living in extreme poverty, struggling daily for food.

A widow from Djibo shared her story of escape and loss, expressing gratitude to CARITAS REVOLUTION for the vital support that now helps her feed her children. Others, facing dire poverty, described their hardships and the need for ongoing support.

2. My Hope Foundation Partnership

Our dedicated team embarked on a mission to Bobo Dioulasso with the aim of supporting the orphans affiliated with the My Hope Association. This visit, planned with meticulous care, resulted in the distribution of food donations to 25 deserving orphans, providing them with essential sustenance. This event not only provided much needed immediate relief but also strengthened the bonds of community, underscored the importance of solidarity, and reaffirmed our commitment to support the most vulnerable among us.

3. Tengandogo Orphans and Vulnerable Children Project

This project aims to support orphan children in the Tegandogo district of Ouagadougou by paying school fees, school uniforms, supplies, and rice for pupils facing education vulnerabilities.

4. Kaarpala Disabled people project

In Burkina Faso, disabled people are often marginalized in society. The Kaarpala project is designed to help disabled individuals access food, thus removing the cost burden for people struggling to find work because of their conditions.

5. Cissin Elderly and Vulnerable People Project

In Burkina, far too many elderly people face health problems, most often due to malnutrition or lack of suitable food linked to their living conditions. Some elderly people struggle to have one meal a day, which causes frailty and vulnerability to illness. This project is designed to provide food aid to senior populations in the province of Cissin in Ouagadougou.

6. Paas Neere Association: Traditional Weaving Training Project

We had the pleasure of supporting the NGO Paas Neere in Ziniare, Burkina Faso. The Paas Neere Association has been dedicated to uplifting rural communities in Burkina Faso for decades, particularly supporting disabled individuals, orphans, and vulnerable children. With our support, Paas Neere successfully launched a project to empower the mothers of disabled children through training in traditional weaving. The initiative aimed to equip these mothers with the skills to create traditional textiles, providing them with a means to preserve their cultural heritage and achieve economic self-sufficiency. We are thrilled to celebrate the success of this project, which has provided women with the opportunity to generate sustainable income, support their families, and enhance their children's wellbeing. The positive impact on these communities is a testament to the power of collaborative efforts in fostering resilience and empowerment. For more information about Paas Neere and how to support them please check out their website.

1. The Bakery Project

Caritas Revolution recently wrapped up a project to open a bakery centered on hiring young people and equipping them with the skills to run a business. Alongside helping with the purchasing of materials, cash register, and equipment, the project encouraged youth mentorship and skills development as a preventative strategy for youth endangerment.

2. Ponte en mi Lugar Foundation

Caritas Revolution supports a school in Bogota that equips children from marginalized backgrounds to have access to education, career readiness support, community, and nutritional care. Caritas Revolution  run a variety of programs therein, providing the school access to sewing machines for specialized training.

3. Barranquilla Colombia

Caritas Revolution had the privilege to support the NGO Servimos in Barranquilla, Colombia, in their annual Christmas celebration for the 150 children they mentor. Servimos is dedicated to shaping the lives of Colombian children, providing guidance and support to deter them from joining local gangs. We were inspired by their dedication to safeguarding childrens’ futures, and were honored to make their Christmas celebration the best yet.

The event, held on December 17th, is part of Servimos' broader mission to nurture the youth in vulnerable neighborhoods, offering them consistent support and positive alternatives to gang involvement. The contributions from Caritas Revolution allowed for the provision of higher quality toys than ever before, marking a significant upgrade that brought a big smile on each child’s face.
